Charley earned his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Florida before obtaining his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law. His deep understanding of the entertainment industry stems from his previous career as a radio promotion executive at major record labels including MCA, IRS, A&M, and Arista Records, as well as his experience managing recording artists and working as a booking agent, giving him invaluable insight into multiple facets of the entertainment business.
As a recognized leader in intellectual property law, Charley served as Past President of the California Copyright Conference and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Association of Independent Music Publishers. He frequently speaks on entertainment law topics and has moderated panels addressing various industry issues. His expertise spans copyright protection, trademark registration and enforcement, licensing agreements, and entertainment contract negotiations. Charley also advises clients on emerging legal issues involving evolving technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain as they intersect with entertainment law.
